Human. In a Work Process

Loreta's documentary on Velga Pavlovska, a weaver who weaves on a loom sparked something with me. When I first watched the final cut of the film, Velga's personality really resonated with me, how she spoke about her craft and the harmony it brings her. I related to her. What she feels when weaving, I feel with music. The possibilities of creating, to bringing things to life. 

I wanted to show Velga's sweet personality in the music. Her kindness and love for her craft was so heartwarming to watch. By using warm,  harmonious and almost holy sounds like the organ and clarinets, I wanted to replicate this love. I wanted it to sound like a pair of loving arms were wrapped around someone. To bring to peace, yet to fill the heart with love and happiness.
