The first thing I learned about this film was its synopsis. It intrigued me. The way anticipation played a role in it and how I could explore this through music. Afterwards when I read the script, there was so much more to unpack here, so much room for me to amplify with music. Most of all, the woods scenes spoke to me, all of the potential ways the music could lead these scenes.

Knowing the script and how the story reveals itself, I started with a simple piano in the first therapy session scene which was comforting yet eery due to the dissonance and different lines of music overlapping each other. What followed was my current interest in processing of acoustic music and making it electronic. I took these audio files of the piano and put them through Forester which allowed me to generate audio files that sounded completely different. I followed these steps and began to organise them all together until a film score was built.
